The app is slow or freezing

When VertigoMe feels sluggish or stops responding, the cause is often the phone itself: it is busy with other apps or low on space. Here is what to try, simplest first.

Step 1: Close VertigoMe and open it again

On iPhone

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle.
  2. Find the VertigoMe card and swipe it up off the screen.
  3. Tap the VertigoMe icon to open it again.

On Android

  1. Tap the square button at the bottom (or swipe up and hold).
  2. Find VertigoMe and swipe it away.
  3. Tap the VertigoMe icon to open it again.

Step 2: Close apps you are not using

Every open app shares your phone's memory. Use the same steps as above, but swipe away the cards you do not need.

Step 3: Restart your phone

On iPhone

  1. Press and hold the side button and either volume button until slide to power off appears.
  2. Slide to power off.
  3. Wait about thirty seconds.
  4. Press the side button to turn it back on.

On Android

  1. Press and hold the power button.
  2. Tap Restart. If you only see Power off, tap it, wait a minute, then press the power button again.

Step 4: Check you have free space

On iPhone

Open Settings, tap General, then iPhone Storage. If the bar is nearly full, delete old photos, videos or apps you no longer use.

On Android

Open Settings and tap Storage (on Samsung, Device care, then Storage). If it is nearly full, tap Free up space or remove photos and apps you do not need.

Try to keep at least one or two gigabytes free.

Step 5: Check for updates

On iPhone

Open the App Store, tap your profile picture, scroll down and tap Update next to VertigoMe if it is there.

On Android

Open Google Play, tap your profile picture, tap Manage apps & device, then Updates available, and update VertigoMe if it is listed.

Step 6: Reinstall VertigoMe

Your spins and settings are stored in your VertigoMe account, so deleting the app does not delete them.

  1. Press and hold the VertigoMe icon.
  2. Tap Delete app (iPhone) or Uninstall (Android).
  3. Open the App Store or Google Play, search for VertigoMe and install it again.
  4. Sign in with the same account you used before.
