Changing your profile picture, name and vestibular subtype

Your profile is the face of your VertigoMe account. You can change your picture and name whenever you like. Nothing in your spin history is touched.

These steps are the same on iPhone and Android.

Opening your profile

  1. Tap the gear icon in the top-left of the screen. The Settings drawer slides in.
  2. Tap Profile.

The Profile screen shows your picture, name and email at the top, and your plan.

Changing your profile picture

  1. Tap the small camera button on the corner of your picture, or tap Change profile picture just below it.
  2. The first time, your phone asks for access to your photos. Allow it.
  3. Pick a photo.
  4. Wait a moment for it to upload.

If you see Upload failed, try again with a different photo.

Changing your display name

Your display name is how the app greets you. It is not your login.

  1. Tap the small pencil next to your name. The Edit profile screen opens.
  2. Type the name you want in Display name. A first name on its own is fine.
  3. Tap Save.

The same screen also has Spin type (for example BPPV or vestibular migraine, in your own words) and Allergies / sensitivities, which is used for medicine interaction warnings.

Your vestibular subtype

The Vestibular subtype card shows the condition or conditions you chose during setup, such as BPPV, vestibular migraine or Ménière's disease. Tap Edit on the card to change it.

Your subtype matters: for example, it decides whether the Headache page is shown by default when you log a spin.

Your AI Profile

Further down, the AI Profile card is a written summary of what VertigoMe learned about you from your setup answers. Tap What this is based on to see every answer behind it. Each section there has its own edit button. When you change answers, VertigoMe re-checks your profile straight away.

If you want to go through all the setup questions again, tap Redo Onboarding on the Profile screen. Your data is left untouched.

If something looks wrong

  1. Go back and open the Profile screen again.
  2. Close VertigoMe fully and open it again.
  3. A new picture can take a minute to show everywhere.
