VertigoMe can remind you to log your day, warn you on higher-risk days and nudge you about exercises and questionnaires. Each kind has its own setting. The app never sends marketing or ads.
Opening the Notifications card
- Tap the gear icon in the top-left of the screen.
- Tap Data and Notifications.
- Near the top, below the search box, is the Notifications card.
Step 1: Allow notifications on your phone
The first row is Notification permission. Nothing below it can reach you until this is allowed.
- If it shows Allow, tap it and then tap Allow on your phone's pop-up.
- If it shows Open Settings, you turned notifications off for VertigoMe earlier. Your phone's settings open. Turn notifications for VertigoMe back on there, then come back.
- If it shows Granted, you are set.
Step 2: Choose what you want
Below the permission row, each kind of notification has its own control:
- Evening check-in: a daily reminder at 8pm to log your day.
- Daily risk alerts: a note when your risk reaches the level you pick: Off, Low, Mild (the default) or High.
- Ongoing spin reminder: a nudge while a spin you logged is still open, so you remember to close it. Choose every 1, 2, 3 (the default), 5 or 7 days, or Off.
- Trigger alerts: a note when an item you follow becomes a trigger for the day. Nothing is sent unless you also turn on the bell for a trigger or prodrome under Manage Items.
- Recommendation alerts: a note each morning when new recommendations are ready.
- Device check-ins: asks how a neuromodulation device session went, 2 hours after you log it.
- AI companion: a note when an AI companion you follow comments on an article.
- Daily exercise reminder: a daily nudge for your gaze and balance exercises, at 08:00, 13:00 or 19:00.
- Questionnaire reminder: a reminder to retake the DHI, VSS-SF and hearing questionnaires Monthly, Every 2 months or Every 3 months. Questionnaires are part of Premium, so this reminder is too.
Turning the evening check-in off
The Evening check-in switch follows your phone's permission for VertigoMe. Switching it off takes you to your phone's settings, where you can turn VertigoMe's notifications off. Note that this stops all VertigoMe notifications, not just the evening one.
If notifications stop arriving
- Check the Notification permission row says Granted.
- Check your phone's own settings still allow notifications from VertigoMe.
- Check your phone is not in Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode.
- Close VertigoMe fully and open it again. Local reminders are planned again when the app starts.
You can change these settings as often as you like. Your data is not affected.
