How to report a bug

If something in VertigoMe is not working as it should, please tell us. A bug we do not hear about is a bug that stays.

Where to send it

Email [email protected] with the word Bug somewhere in the message.

What we need to know

The more detail you give, the faster we can fix it. Leave out anything you do not know.

  1. What you were trying to do. For example, I was trying to log a spin for yesterday.
  2. What happened. For example, When I tapped Save spin log, the app closed and lost what I had typed.
  3. What you expected. For example, I expected it to save and go back to Home.
  4. The steps to make it happen again. For example, Log tab. Log Spin. Edit times manually. Pick yesterday. Next to Review. Save spin log.
  5. Your phone model. For example, iPhone 14 or Google Pixel 8.
  6. Your system version. See below for how to find it.
  7. A screenshot or short screen recording, if you can.

Finding your phone model and version

On iPhone

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap General, then About.
  3. You will see Model Name and iOS Version near the top.

On Android

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down to About phone or About device.
  3. You will see the model name. Tap Software information for the Android version.

The exact wording varies between Android phones. Look for anything that says About or Software.

How to take a screenshot

On iPhone

Press the side button and volume up together. On older iPhones with a home button, press the home button and side button together. The picture is saved in Photos.

On Android

Press the power button and volume down together. The picture is saved in your Gallery or Photos app.

How to record a short video

On iPhone

  1. Swipe down from the top right corner to open Control Centre.
  2. Tap the screen recording button (a filled circle inside a ring).
  3. Open VertigoMe and show the problem.
  4. Open Control Centre again and tap the button to stop. The video is saved in Photos.

If you do not see the button, open Settings, tap Control Centre, and add Screen Recording.

On Android

  1. Swipe down twice from the top of the screen to open quick settings.
  2. Tap Screen recorder or Screen record.
  3. Open VertigoMe and show the problem.
  4. Stop the recording from the notification or the floating button. The video is saved in your Gallery.

If you cannot find it, a screenshot is still very helpful.

A template you can copy

Hello, I think I have found a bug. What I was doing: describe it here. What happened: describe it here. What I expected: describe it here. Steps to make it happen again: list them one by one. Phone: your model. Version: your iOS or Android version. My VertigoMe email: the address you sign in with.

What happens next

  1. You get a reply from a real person.
  2. We try to make the bug happen on our own phones.
  3. If we find it, we fix it. If we cannot, we will ask you for a little more help.
  4. We let you know when the fix is in an app update.

Reporting bugs helps everyone who uses VertigoMe. You are never a nuisance for doing it.
