VertigoMe comes with a long list of triggers, but you may have a personal one that is not on it. A particular supermarket aisle. Escalators. A certain food. You can add it as a custom trigger.
Custom triggers are logged by hand. They do not fire automatically, because VertigoMe has no way to measure them.
Step by step
The steps are the same on iPhone and Android.
- Tap the gear icon in the top-left of the screen.
- Tap Manage Items, then Triggers.
- Find the category card where the trigger belongs and tap the + on its header.
- A sheet slides up. Type a short, clear Name, for example Escalators.
- Check the Category.
- Optionally pick a Prediction value (how much it should weigh on your risk score).
- Optionally pick an icon. You can also tap Generate new icon to have a picture drawn from the name. It takes about 20 seconds.
- Tap Add. The button stays faded until you type a name.
The new trigger appears in that category straight away.
Using your new trigger
- Quick Log on Home: the Trigger button shows your favourites, so star the new trigger to see it there.
- Log tab: the Trigger card lets you pick from your full list.
- Full spin log: it appears on the Triggers page.
- Watch apps: the Trigger button shows your favourites.
Making it a favourite
On the Manage Triggers screen, tap the star on its row. Favourites appear first whenever you log.
Removing it later
Tap the trash icon on its row and confirm. Past entries that used it are not removed.
