Tracks your sleep
every night

duration, efficiency, stages and timing

A bad night is the most common thing people mention before a spin and the least common thing they write down. VertigoMe records the night for you, from the phone alone on Android if that is all you have, and tells you which part of it actually lines up with your spins.

What it recordsDuration, sleep score, efficiency, disturbances, deep, REM and light sleep, time in bed, when you fell asleep and when you woke up.
Where it comes fromA wearable, Apple Health or Health Connect gives the stages and the score. On Android, the phone can estimate your sleep from the longest screen-off gap of the night. You can also type a night in yourself.
Sleep triggers, automaticBedtime late, wake time early or late, sleep duration high, deep sleep high, REM and light sleep high or low, disturbances high or low. Each fires when your night crosses its line.
In your risk scoreA trigger fired from last night raises today's number, and its effect fades over the following days, the same as any other trigger.
In your patternsWhat Happened tests each sleep signal against your spins and says how much more likely a spin was on those days, in plain words rather than a made-up multiplier.
What's helpingConsistent sleep is one of the habits the app looks for on your spin-free days, measured against your own normal.

What it records, and where it comes from

Duration, sleep score, efficiency, disturbances, deep, REM and light sleep, time in bed, and the times you fell asleep and woke up. Garmin, Oura and Polar connect directly; Apple Watch and other devices come through Apple Health or Health Connect. On Android, pick Phone as the source for sleep duration and timing in Data Settings and the app reads the longest screen-off gap between the evening and noon as your sleep. On iPhone, the phone cannot see that, so sleep needs Apple Health or a wearable. The Sleep Data screen also lets you enter or correct a night by hand.

Sleep triggers that fire on their own

Bedtime late, wake time early, wake time late, sleep duration high, deep sleep high, REM sleep high and low, light sleep high and low, and sleep disturbances high and low are automatic triggers. Each fires when your night crosses its fixed line or moves two standard deviations from your own 14-day baseline, and each has a severity you control. A short night on its own is not an automatic trigger in the current catalogue; it still shows up in your patterns.

Sleep in your patterns

What Happened ranks each sleep signal against your spins with the same statistics as every other trigger, and says in plain words whether it made a spin more likely for you. What's Helping shows the other side: the sleep habits that show up on your spin-free days.

Questions

Can the phone track sleep without a watch?

On Android, yes: with usage access it reads the longest screen-off gap between the evening and noon as your sleep. Stages and score need a wearable or a health platform. iPhones do not expose that data, so on iOS sleep comes from Apple Health or a wearable.

Which sleep sources are supported?

Garmin, Oura, Polar, Apple Health on iPhone, Health Connect on Android, the phone itself on Android, and manual entry.

Is sleep a trigger or a measurement?

Both. The night is recorded as data, and the sleep triggers fire from it when a value crosses your line, so you can weight sleep like any other trigger.
