Once VertigoMe is installed on your Garmin watch, you link it to your VertigoMe account with a 6-digit code. The watch shows the code and you type it into VertigoMe on your phone. It takes under a minute.
Before you start
- VertigoMe installed and signed in on your phone.
- VertigoMe installed on your Garmin watch.
- The watch connected to your phone through Garmin Connect.
The code stays valid for about 10 minutes.
On your Garmin watch
- Open VertigoMe.
- Tap Pair (or press the select button).
- The watch shows a 6-digit code with the words In the phone app open Connections > Pair watch and enter this code.
- Leave the watch on this screen. It says Waiting for phone... underneath.
On your phone
The steps are the same on iPhone and Android.
- Open VertigoMe.
- Tap the gear icon in the top-left, then Connections.
- Find the Garmin card.
- Tap Pair watch on the right of the card.
- A box opens with the note Open VertigoMe on your watch, tap Pair, and enter the code it shows. Type the 6 digits.
- Tap Link.
- The phone shows Watch paired, and the watch says Paired! and moves to its home screen with your spin risk gauge.
You do not need to tap Connect on the Garmin card to pair. That button is for Garmin health data.
If something goes wrong
- The watch says Code expired. Tap the watch screen for a new code, then type the new one on the phone.
- The phone says "Code not recognised. Check the digits on the watch." Check the digits and try again.
- The phone says "That code expired. Tap the watch for a new one." Get a fresh code on the watch.
- The phone says "That code was already used. Get a new one on the watch." Tap the watch for a new code.
- The watch says Phone not connected. Turn Bluetooth on, check the watch is connected in Garmin Connect, then tap the watch screen to try again.
You will not need to pair again unless you reinstall the app, reset the watch or your sign-in on the watch expires.
