You may want to help a partner, parent or friend track their spins. The most important rule: each person needs their own account.
Why each person needs their own account
The risk gauge, patterns and insights are built from one person's data. If two people share an account, the app sees one person with two sets of sleep, food and spins, and its findings are wrong for both.
It also matters for privacy. Each person's health data belongs to them.
Setting up their account
What you need
- Their own email address, or their Apple, Google or Facebook sign-in.
- Their phone, or yours if they will use yours.
Steps
- Install VertigoMe and open it.
- To use email: tap Continue with email, then Sign up. Enter their email and a password, tick the agreement, and tap Create account.
- Open the confirmation email, tap the link, then sign in.
- Or tap Continue with Google, Continue with Facebook, or the Apple button on an iPhone. The first sign-in creates the account.
- On the Your health data screen, tick the box and tap Continue.
- Go through setup together, answering for them.
Age
VertigoMe is not intended for children under 16.
Helping an older parent
- Install the app on their phone and set it up with their email.
- Show them the Spin button on the Home screen. One tap starts the timer when a spin begins.
- Sit with them for the first few days of logging.
- Check in now and then to look at what has been recorded.
With their agreement, you can sign in to their account on your own phone to log for them. Remember it is their data.
Things to avoid
- Do not log their spins in your own account.
- Do not share their password in a group chat.
- Do not enter someone's health information without them knowing.
Switching between accounts
To move between accounts on one phone, sign out of one and sign in to the other: gear icon at the top left → Logout.
