Letting VertigoMe fill in the spin log for you

If you have written or spoken a description on the Paint the picture page, VertigoMe can read it and fill in most of the spin log for you. You check what it picked, remove anything wrong, and move on.

These steps are the same on iPhone and Android.

What Find matches looks for

After you type or speak something, tap Find matches. VertigoMe looks for:

  1. How severe the spin was, on a scale up to 10.
  2. A headache score, if you gave one with a number.
  3. Symptoms, including the kind of spin (for example room spinning or rocking) and the position you were in when it started.
  4. Triggers, prodromes (warning signs), medicines and reliefs.
  5. Activities, locations and missed activities.

It only picks items from your own lists, so what it finds matches what you see on the later pages.

How to use it

  1. On Paint the picture, type or speak your description.
  2. Tap Find matches.
  3. The button shows Analysing… for a few seconds.
  4. A line appears saying how many matches were found and that they were added to your log.

Checking what it picked

Each match is shown as a small coloured row with its type. Some show extra detail, such as a time or how much a relief helped.

Matches in a lighter, italic style are suggestions. The app inferred them rather than reading them word for word. A note reminds you to remove any that do not apply.

Removing something wrong

  1. Find the wrong row.
  2. Tap the small cross on it.
  3. It disappears and will not appear on the later pages.

This is help, not a diagnosis

VertigoMe does its best to read your words, but it is not always right. You stay in charge:

  1. Remove any match you do not agree with.
  2. Change anything on the later pages.
  3. Add items it missed.
  4. Nothing is saved until you tap the save button on the Review page.

Free and Premium

The basic matching uses a word list on your phone and works for everyone. With Premium (or during your free trial), VertigoMe also runs a smarter AI pass on top, which needs an internet connection. Offline, you may get fewer matches.

If nothing happens

  1. Check there is text in the box. Find matches only appears when the box is not empty.
  2. If you already ran it and then changed the text, tap Find matches again.
  3. If you see that no matches were found, tap Next and fill in the pages by hand.
