If you would rather VertigoMe did not use your location or the weather, you can switch it off. Nothing else in the app breaks, and you can turn it back on whenever you like.
Step 1: Open Data and Notifications
- Tap the gear icon in the top-left.
- Tap Data and Notifications.
You will see the sections Sleep, Physical Health, Cognitive, Environment, Nutrition and Menstruation.
Step 2: Switch off the weather rows
- Open the Environment section.
- Switch off Location, Temperature, Pressure, Humidity, Wind, UV index, Thunderstorms, Pollen and Air quality, or just the ones you do not want.
With these off, the Environment card on Monitor goes quiet and weather no longer feeds your risk.
Step 3 (optional): Stop sharing location with the app
On iPhone
Open the Settings app, scroll to VertigoMe, tap Location and choose Never.
On Android
Open Settings, tap Apps, tap VertigoMe, then Permissions, Location, and choose Don't allow.
Hiding the pressure alert
The Barometric pressure alert on Home can be hidden on its own. Scroll to the bottom of Home, tap Customize home and switch off Pressure alert.
Your old weather data
Weather already collected stays in your history so your past risk scores still make sense. If you want it deleted, write to [email protected].
Turning it back on
Switch the Environment rows back on, and allow location again if you turned it off in your phone's settings.
One more thing: VertigoMe uses the time zone from your daily location to time the 8 pm evening reminder. Without location, that reminder may not arrive.
