When the air pressure where you are drops sharply from one day to the next, VertigoMe shows a Barometric pressure alert card near the top of the Home screen.
When it appears
The card appears when today's pressure is 10 hPa or more below yesterday's average. It shows the drop, for example "1012 hPa yesterday → 1000 hPa today", with a short note to keep hydrated and go easy on salt.
On a day without a big drop, the card is simply not there.
Why it is there
Some people with Meniere's disease or vestibular migraine notice more symptoms when the weather turns and pressure falls. The alert is a heads-up so you can plan a quieter day. It is not a prediction that a spin will happen.
What it needs
- Location must be allowed, so VertigoMe knows which area's weather to check.
- The weather for today and yesterday must have been fetched.
It is a card, not a push notification
The alert appears when you open the Home screen. It does not send a notification to your phone. Separately, the automatic Pressure low and Pressure high triggers can still feed your risk score.
Hiding it
Scroll to the bottom of Home, tap Customize home and switch off Pressure alert.
