Slippery paths can feel extra daunting when your balance is already unpredictable. What helps you feel steadier when heading out in winter weather: shoes, routes, routines, anything?

ah this one hits home. honestly the ice itself isn't even the worst part for me, it's the fear of it. the second I tense up watching the ground my head starts swimming and then I'm wobbly for real
what helps: proper grippy boots (I bought the ones with the rubber studs and felt a bit silly but they're great)
